This notice to the general public that 31st of March 2021 which is today, Ijaw traditional leaders and intending pilgrims will be converging at Ogulagha Kingdom in Burutu Local Government Area of Delta State to witness the annual “Bini-ebi Madinorbo Festival” of Ijaw people.
This festival is of paramount importance, as it has been an age-long practice of the Ijaws which releases divine blessings of unity, love, fertility and prosperity for the Ijaw Nation.
This festival prepares the ground for the entire Ijaw land to receive legions of Divinities (Orus) as they will manifest with blessings for the people. It is a spiritual passage for those seeking prosperity, fruits of the womb and love to be blessed abundantly.
Bini-ebi is another appellation for ‘WOYIN’ – SUPREME MOTHER or CREATRESS OF ALL”. “Bini-ebi” translated in English means “Water Blessings” which in deeper spiritual context means the goodness and blessings of the water spirit.
Woyin (the Supreme Mother) manifests in different forms of appearances to the Ijaw people at various points in time. And assuming the form of a water Deity is one of them.
This spirit is venerated and appreciated with burnt offerings, food offerings and other rites and ceremonies in line with Ijaw practices. These rites are of great spiritual and material importance.
High Chief Oweizidei Ekpemupolo alias Tompolo is the High Priest of Bini-ebi Deity. He is divinely ordained to perform and conduct the necessary rites which he would be performing at the appointed time.
Sons and daughters, lovers and adherents of the Ijaw indigenous religion alongside all those seeking divine favour, material blessings, fruits of the womb, prosperity, etc., are all invited to take part or witness the forthcoming Bini-ebi religious ceremony.
