Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State has accused the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria, MACBAN, of planning to eliminate him.
Ortom said the leadership of MACBAN targeted him and were planning to eliminate him.
He spoke after he met with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, on Tuesday.
Governor Ortom disclosed that his lawyers would petition MACBAN’s leadership.
“My attorney goes to make a petition against the management of MACBAN because they got here out to goal me and in the back of the scene, they’re making plans to remove me in my own land.
“If I can’t visit the farm as governor with entire security around me then who else can visit the farm? You can believe the rigors that we’ve here in Benue State,” Ortom stated.
Gunmen suspected to be herdsmen had closing Saturday attacked Governor Ortom at Tyo Mu along Makurdi/Gboko avenue.
The governor, who turned into attacked even as on his farm, however, escaped following intervention by way of his security operatives.
