Sunday Asefon, the new President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, has vowed to shut down all private universities in the country.
He lamented that the ongoing strike is the longest industrial action embarked on by the university lecturers.
He promised to close down the private colleges should the nine-month strike set out on by individuals from the Academic Staff Union of Universities proceed.
The NANS president said this while talking on a PUNCH Online meeting program, The Roundtable.
He regretted that the continuous strike is the longest mechanical activity left on by the college instructors.
As per him, NANS would draw in the Federal Government agents and ASUU pioneers to locate an enduring answer for resolve the impasse in exchanges between the two arms.
The NANS president said after conference with the two gatherings and should the strike not be canceled at the earliest opportunity, NANS would move in and shut down all tertiary organizations in the nation.
