Among Ijaws , a majority coastal tribe people of the Niger delta of Nigeria , they have a common Tradition of having what is called in the Ijaw language “Kile” meaning greeting, it is usually a title inherited from your forebears and as you grow into a man of influence or affluence in the community and society, you also come to have your own Kile, so there’s Dau kile (Fathers Title or greeting ) or Opu Dau Kile (Grandfathers or Ancestral Greeting or title ) these titles most times may have been gotten through some actions of this ancestor or living person .
These Kiles or greetings often come with a reply that seem to complete the Kile , the reply reveals the wisdom behind the Kile (title or greeting) ,sometimes even it tells a story in very short words that reveal so much meaning if you would take some time to meditate on it . One man could have so many kiles from the Kile of the first ancestor of his family down to his own , some could sound like an incantation, a short chant or a mantra of power that could invoke courage , power , confidence , love , or fun in the ones that asks or answers this Kile .
On this Piece I would like to Talk about Odokorikodo , the Kile of the leading figure of emancipation of the Ijaw people and the Niger delta People in general , having laid down his personal life for the good of his people and having escaped the many death traps of Governments trying to Silence the one genuine voice of the Niger delta , betrayed by people that would or should ordinarily be his brothers aiding the Government of the day to silence him by any means necessary. He would know so much about people who wish him dead and those who go the extra mile to even take steps to kill him, many attempts made all attempts failed because he believes in the power of Love , he would often times forgive those who have done him wrong and this is his greatest Power ‘duwe’ ‘duwe’ Bagha translated to mean that the dead cannot kill the dead , mystically it means “because I cannot and will not hurt or harm you, you are not Karmically (Spiritually) allowed or permitted to inflict harm to me, it also means because I radiate love to you, I am Karmically entitled to receive only love from you directly or indirectly from the Universe”.
This is a very high level of Spiritual realization enjoyed only by High Spiritual Masters and initiates . Hence TomPolo, Odokorikodo is recognized as a living Spiritual Master of the Woyingi (Ijaw Traditional ) Religion ATR , he radiates only love and genuine intentions for the advancement of mankind , as it has been Akashically stated by our ancient forebears that when Ijaw man is Liberated , Mankind is liberated . So I urge you my beloved reader to take to the spiritual path of Nonviolence of ‘duwe’ ‘duwe’ Bagha , and affirmatively decree that I Radiate and release only love , I am Entitled to receive love in Return .
