The Interim Administrator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Col. Millard Dixon Dikio has assured members of the Niger Delta Vendors Association of the payment of all certified debt owed them.
Col. Dikio gave the assurance when he met with members of the Niger Delta Vendors Association in his office at Abuja.
He said the Presidential Amnesty Programme under his watch will be repositioned to meet its core mandate adding that all contracts that have not been certified will be verified and certified for payment.
The Interim PAP Coordinator promised to put an effective and transparent payment system in place to enable service providers to track the progress of their invoices even from a remote location.
While stressing that the Presidential Amnesty Programme will not be scrapped by the federal government, Col Dikio condemned the looting its vocational training centre at Odi noting that those responsible will be brought to book through an independent forensic audit.
He solicited for support from stakeholders in order to fully implement federal government’s programmes for ex agitators and for the Niger Delta region.
